Provincial
"A" Champions
In 1998, Coach Jack Visser took his Port
Credit Bantam "A" team to the OHF Provincial Championships...and
brought back the cup! That was the first time any GTHL or MHL
"A" team won a Provincial Championship...a distinction that
lasted until 2007, when not one but two Port Credit "A"
teams, Atom and Bantam, won their divisions!
Then, in 2009, Coach Ross McCague and his team, Atom winners in 2007,
repeated this year. Port Credit
Storm won the Peewee "A" title in Sturgeon Falls, near North Bay. Ryan
Ellul had a goal and two assists while Adam Araujo, Eric James and
Kristopher Cordeiro each had two goals in a 7-3 victory over the
Stouffville Clippers.
